Lance White
Lance White was born June 9, 1978 in Gilmer Texas, and his family moved to Dallas in 1980. Lance grew up in Garland Texas and graduated from North Garland High School in 1996. After high school, Lance attended Stephen F Austin State University for one year before returning to Dallas and working as a building maintenance specialist for Metromedia Restaurant Group. While working for MRG he developed several friendships with the employees of the in office print shop. It was a friendship with Rey Alvarez that would lead Lance to Sir Speedy and introduce him to his future wife Melinda.
Melinda and Lance were married on Nov 24th 2006 in Las Vegas, Nevada, and welcomed their first child, Coley, Dec 4th 2007. On New Years Eve 2010 they discovered that they are expecting their second child in August of this year.
Lance has been at Sir Speedy off and on for 10 years or more and has worked in almost every position in the shop. He started in the pressroom bindery finishing the jobs that were printed by the press and digital departments, as well as being responsible for the quality control of those jobs. After a few years in this position Lance left to work at another shop but was called back to Sir Speedy when a position opened up in the digital black and white department. During this time, Lance was responsible for printing and finishing customers’ files and binding the completed jobs.
After several years Lance elected to leave Sir Speedy and relocate to Alphagraphics in Plano. Lance was called by Sir Speedy when a Customer Service Position was available and once again Lance returned to his “home”, Sir Speedy. His current position finds him on the front lines of the shop, fielding client emails and phone calls. He and his counterpart Chris Schall are responsible for writing up all of the work orders and quotes for the walk in traffic and the leads generated by the sales team. Lance feels deeply connected to the owner Jim Quinn, and the employees of Sir Speedy; a feeling of family that has been forged over the years and the personal experiences that started so long ago.
